Opportunities Industrialization Center (OIC) of Anne Arundel County Maryland is an adult education and job readiness service. We offer free classes in GED Preparation, Introduction to Computer, Microsoft Office Essentials, and English as a Second Language.

We believe in improving our community by empowering people to help themselves.

GED Preparation Class

Do you need to earn a GED? OIC is still accepting applications for our current class. OIC instructors work hard to prepare students for the four modules of the GED- Mathematics, Language Arts, Social Studies, and Science. This class is FREE.

English as a Second Language

Want to Improve your English skills? OIC currently offers beginner, intermediate, and advanced level ESOL classes. Register now!

OIC STEAM INTO THE FUTURE PROGRAM
Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics, combines subjects known to increase critical thinking and problem-solving skills through unique hands-on learning opportunities.

Due to COVID-19, creating a distance learning plan is top of mind for all teachers and parents.  It’s a stressful time, but we are here to help!  We want to share with you our New OIC STEAM Program for distance learning.

STEAM Skills allow students to solve real-world STEAM skill problems just like STEAM professionals. We will look at STEM professionals and the problems they are solving, and we take those problems and share them with our students in our STEAM Skills lessons.
